Spacecon San Antonio Code of Conduct
PMX Events, LLC (“Management”) aims to create a fun, safe, and comfortable experience at Spacecon for all attendees. Purchase of admission to Spacecon is your acceptance of the Code of Conduct stated herein. All policies are subject to change by Management without notice.
If you are being harassed, notice someone else being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact Spacecon staff immediately. Staff can be identified by Spacecon t-shirts, staff lanyards, and badges.
Harassment includes but is not limited to: offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Management, Celebrity Talent, Vendors, Sponsors, Volunteers, and Attendees are all subject to this anti-harassment policy. Anyone asked to stop harassing behavior is expected to comply immediately or may be removed from Spacecon without refund and referred to on-site law enforcement.
PMX Events reserves the right to remove any individual from Spacecon without refund for behavior deemed dangerous, disruptive, or in violation of the spirit of this Code of Conduct—even if not specifically listed.
PMX Events welcomes cosplay at Spacecon. All costumes must comply with the following:
- All attendees in costume must agree to a security check and costume inspection.
- Costumes must comply with local laws.
- Spacecon is a family-friendly event—nudity, vulgarity, and body paint/sheer materials in lieu of clothing are not allowed.
- Bare feet are not permitted.
- No sharp protrusions or spikes.
- Costumes should not extend more than six inches (6”) from the body unless collapsible or retractable.
- No real firearms, knives, or swords allowed.
- Replica weapons must look clearly fake to the average attendee.
- Replica swords must be securely tied to the costume; security will zip-tie them to prevent drawing.
- No projectiles, laser pointers, or high-intensity lights.
- No outside food, beverages (except for medical necessity), or pets (excluding service animals) are allowed. Smoking, vaping, and smokeless tobacco are prohibited.
- Bag checks, wanding, and metal detectors may be used at entry points. Only on-duty police officers may carry firearms inside Spacecon. Replica swords sold by vendors or brought for autographs must remain in boxes, have blunt tips, and receive a security sticker.
By attending, you consent to being filmed, photographed, or recorded. You waive any expectation of privacy and grant PMX Events, LLC full rights to use these recordings for promotional or commercial purposes in perpetuity.
Photography and video are not permitted in autograph or photo op areas.
Non-commercial photography for personal use (including social media) is permitted in non-restricted areas when not disruptive.
Professional cameras, video equipment, and drones are prohibited without prior written approval.
Only credentialed members of the press may capture video or images.
No zoom lens attachments allowed on any device.
Please follow all posted signage regarding photography restrictions and respect any area marked “No Photos or Video.”
Children 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Guardians are responsible for the behavior and safety of their minors.

Decisions made by PMX Events Management and Security in matters of safety, conduct, or enforcement of this policy are final. Failure to comply may result in the removal without refund.
Attendance is at your own risk. PMX Events, LLC and its partners are not liable for personal injury, lost or stolen property, or any incidents occurring at or during Spacecon.
